How to get Twitter unfollow alerts in Telegram

Connect X, link the Unfollowed Telegram bot, start monitoring, and troubleshoot missing unfollow alerts.

1. Sign in with X

Choose Continue with X, complete authorization through X, and open Connections in your Unfollowed dashboard. You’ll need access to the X account you want to track and a Telegram account for messages.

2. Connect Telegram before monitoring

Choose Connect Telegram, then Open Telegram. Start the bot using the generated link, or copy the displayed /start command with its one-time code into the bot chat. The code expires after ten minutes; generate another if it expires. Keep your code private because it links the chat to your account.

The bot confirms a successful link with “Telegram is connected. I’ll send your X unfollow alerts here.” Return to the dashboard and refresh to see the connection status.

3. Activate X monitoring

In Connections, choose Start monitoring under X Activity subscription. If you previously disconnected X, choose Connect X activity. Once monitoring is active, newly received unfollows appear in Activity and are queued for your connected Telegram chat.

If an alert doesn’t arrive

Check monitoring: Connections should show an active X Activity subscription.
Check Telegram: Look for the bot’s connection confirmation and make sure you haven’t blocked the bot.
Check your allowance: Your first five unfollow events are included, even without Telegram linked. Check the FREE ALERTS USED counter in Activity and the free allowance FAQ.
Check Activity: An event in the dashboard without a message may reflect a missing Telegram connection at the time or a delivery issue. Earlier events are not automatically replayed when you link Telegram.

Delivery depends on X, Telegram, and Unfollowed being available. Events and messages can be delayed or missed; alerts are not guaranteed to arrive instantly.

Stop Telegram messages

Choose Disconnect next to Telegram in Connections. This removes the saved chat link but does not stop X monitoring or erase messages already delivered to Telegram. Disconnect X too if you want monitoring to stop.
